"Vivekananda Chair In Indian Studies" -- At the
University Of Chicago
-- Jan 28, University of Chicago established a new
chair in Indian studies in the name of Swami Vivekananda.
-- The chair was made possible by a $1.5 million gift from India's Ministry of Culture.
-- The gift will support a visiting professorship.
-- In the evening Art Institute of Chicago unveiled a second plaque in the honor of Swami Vivekananda.
-- Both programs were attended by the Finance Minister( Pranab Mukherjee), Ambassador of India( Nirupama Rao), Consul General( Mukta Dutta-Tomar).
-- The chair was made possible by a $1.5 million gift from India's Ministry of Culture.
